I am a PhD student at Unversidade Federal do Paraná (Brazil) but I am currently spending an year working at NCSU. My thesis is on the evolution of house flies. I am currently collecting molecular data (DNA) in order to make a hypothesis on their phylogenetic relationships. I will also estimate the divergence time for the group. My main interests are systematics, taxonomy, phylogenetics and biogeography.

My advisors are Claudio J. B. de Carvalho (UFPR-main), Brian Wiegmann (NCSU) and Eduardo A. B. de Almeida (USP).
